Short Haircuts - Influenced By The Economy
Is there a link between difficult economic times and short haircuts?
In recent studies economists have come to the conclusion that a negative economy may influence women to cut their hair short.Worldwide we are currently experiencing some economic trouble, except for the eastern countries such as China who are doing very well.So could this be the reason that women cut their hair or is it just a fashion trend that has been influencing women to sport a shorter look?
After Victoria Beckham cut her hair and went blond she created a huge style revolution and so many women actually cut their hair in that modern hairstyle. Now it is nothing new if you see another celebrity who is sporting a fabulous shorter hairdo, some examples include Gwyneth Paltrow, Eva Longoria, Rhianna and many others.
The argument cannot be based on celebrities as their main prerogative may include good looks and current trends. Could shorter hair be more economical and cost you less? Well the product use of the hair would be less, long hair is time consuming and electrical appliances may not be essential.
Wharton School economist from the U.S., George Taylor stated that hemlines rose and fell with the economy. Thus he implied that the hemlines were short in prosperous times, but long in difficult times. Even if your cut is not influenced by the state of the economy and you want to have short haircuts, the only thing you should keep in mind is that it has to complement your facial shape and your personality.
